Shunning the Hollywood lifestyle, yesterday she was spotted juggling childcare with puppy training as she took her pets to the Train My Dogs store near her Texas home.

It came as she was named the world's most powerful actress in a respected annual list of film, TV and music stars.

Sandra beat more established names like Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie on the list compiled by Entertainment Weekly magazine.

She was praised for handling the break-up of he marriage to Jesse James with 'savvy and grace'.

What obstacle? Flexible Sandra hops over a dog cage


Sandra once again showed the down to earth side as she adeptly carried her baby son with one arm yesterday.

Dressed down Sandra even jumped over a dog cage on her way back to the car.

A helpful store assistant carried dog beds and led Sandra's three-legged rescue dog Ruby out to her car, receiving a grateful hug from the busy mother.

Sandra and Louis have just returned to their home in Austin, Texas from a break in Anguilla.
